Coaching Staff
Dianne Byers, Women's Varsity Assistant Coach
I teach health in the HPE Department and am excited about being a part of the Hoya soccer program. I have been teaching in Cobb County since 1985, beginning at North Cobb High School where I started the girl's soccer program as
the head coach for two years and was the JV cheerleading coach. While there, I was teaching science and physical education. In the
fall of 1987, I went to McEachern High School. I stayed there until fall 2006. During my years at McEachern, I was the JV volleyball
coach for one year, head swim and dive coach for two years, assistant track coach for three years, assistant cross-country coach
for the past 16 years and JV girl's soccer coach for the past 16 years. I also assisted in getting the girl's program started. My
teaching responsibilities were in science.
My educational background includes; Bachelors degree in Health Education from Garnder-Webb College, Masters degree in Health and
Physical Education from Tennesee Technological University, Masters degree in Science from Georgia State University, Gifted Endorsement
in Science, and Specialist in Education degree in Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.
We are originally from North Carolina. My husband, Jerry, and I have lived in Cobb County since 1984. We have 3 children, two boys
and a girl; 1 child, a son, is deceased. There are nine grandchildren; 6 girls and 3 boys, from ages 2-16.
