Jonathan Gross,
Men's Varsity Coach

Coach Gross takes over the Varsity Men's program after two years as an assistant coach under Matt Davenport.

Coach Gross came to Harrison High School form the Washington, DC area where he coached at Catholic University for the past six years. Coach Gross began his career with Catholic as Associate Head Coach for the women's varsity program in June 1999. During his Tenure as Associate Head Coach the program posted back to back record breaking seasons in 2002 and 2003, achieving the most wins in a single season. Coach Gross took over as Head Coach in January 2004 and guided the university to it's third consecutive season of ten wins or more and the programs first ever victory in the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinals. In addition to coaching at Catholic, he also was a staff coach for Virginia ODP where he helped coach the '89 boys’ team from the North District.

Before coaching at Catholic University, Coach Gross began his coaching career in his hometown of Maryville, TN where he coached numerous teams for the Vulcan Soccer Association, including the under-16 boys' team that captured the state championship in 1997. During this time he also coached the varsity boy's team at Heritage High school, helping them to their best record in program history in 1996.

Coach Gross began to develop his love for the game as a player at a very early age. He played for numerous club teams during his career and as a captain his senior year led William Blount High School to their best season in school history, establishing a record for wins in a season that stood for over a decade. Coach Gross continued his career in college for The University of Tennessee and was a member of the 1995 team that secured a birth in the national club tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.

Coach Gross has aN MS in education and a BA in history both form the University of Tennessee. He currently holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma and the USSF 'A' license. He currently resides in Canton with his wife Amy, daughter Rowan, and their dog Charlie.
